Wu Xiaobo
Financial writer who reconstructed the narrative of China's business history with "Turbulent Thirty Years" and pioneered the knowledge monetization business model
Wu Xiaobo (born 1968) is a prominent Chinese financial writer and media personality, and founder of "Wu Xiaobo Channel." He graduated from Fudan University's journalism department in 1990, worked as a Xinhua News Agency reporter, and later transitioned to become an independent financial writer. In 2007, he published Turbulent Thirty Years, recording the history of Chinese enterprise development from 1978-2008 with a grand narrative framework, becoming a milestone in Chinese business non-fiction writing. In 2014, he created the "Wu Xiaobo Channel" WeChat public account, pioneering the conversion of personal knowledge brand into a paid subscription model, becoming a pioneer in China's knowledge monetization industry. He also founded Bajiu Ling Cultural Media, extending his personal IP into a business ecosystem encompassing media, publishing, education, and investment. His other major works include Big Collapse, Gains and Losses of Economic Reforms Throughout History, and Wasting Life on Beautiful Things.
